The GC Inlet Septa seal maintains a tight seal beneath the septum nut in the gas chromatograph inlet, isolating the sample flow path from the external environment. The septum prevents sample leakage during needle insertion and removal, while also preventing air from entering the instrument through the needle hole. The Inlet Septa is typically made of high-temperature-resistant, inert, and flexible silicone rubber.
