Bovine Serum Albumin, English name is Bovine serum albumin, also known as Bovine albumin, or Cohn Fraction V, abbreviated as BSA. BSA has a wide range of laboratory applications, and is often used as a blocking agent in immune experiments, including ELISA and WB(Western Blot). As a carrier protein, cross-linking it with haptens and other weak antigens can make them more immunogenic in antibody production. In restriction endonuclease digestion, BSA is often used as a reaction stabilizer for some enzymes and can prevent it from adhering to the pipe wall and gun head. BSA is also commonly used in the production process of biopharmaceuticals or as a nutrient for cell and microorganism culture. In addition, it is also used as a standard for quantitative detection of protein. The BSA products we provide are made from high-quality bovine plasma by Heat Shock method.
