Ketoconazole

Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent product of imidazole class, marketed under the names Jindazuron, Meconazole, and Ketoconazole. It selectively interferes with the activity of fungal cytochrome P-450, thereby inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol on fungal cell membranes. It is effective for both shallow and deep fungal infections, inhibiting fungal growth and preventing spore transformation into mycelium, thus preventing further infection. Low concentration antibacterial, high concentration antibacterial.
