Phytohemagglutinin PHA-P

Phytohaemagglutinin (PHA), also known as phytohemagglutinin, is a complex of oligosaccharides (composed of D-mannose and glucosamine derivatives) and proteins. It belongs to the class of high molecular weight glycoproteins and is found in some legume seeds. It has a certain agglutination effect on red blood cells, hence its name.
