(His32,Leu34)-Neuropeptide Y (32-36)

The inactive NPY carboxy-terminal pentapeptide (IC50 > 100 μM) was modified by replacing threonine with histidine and glutamine with leucine. The resulting peptide had a dramatically improved affinity (IC50 = 0.45 μM) for the rat brain receptor.
