This modified C-terminal fragment of NPY displaced [3H]NPY bound to rat brain membranes (Y2) with an IC50 = 0.174 μM and inhibited the NPY-induced intracellular calcium release in human erythroleukemia cells (Y1) with an IC50 = 9 nM.
